DataSets System.Byte[] Help

Have an application that is predicated on writing to byte[] fields in an sql
database

I use these structures to pass streams in threads that execute methods.

the xml stream to Hex as in the hex(20), decimal(32) streams as two text
characters
"20"

I have classes that convert the data back and forth but when I set my byte[]
field to byte[] data
and then writeXML I get a psecified Cast is not valid. I have proven that
it is the byte[] field.
Any thoughts, please help. This is a huge problem for me TIA

John

Hello. I'm using xmlhttp in a windows application to return xml data. The xml data is returned successfully, but I get errors when I try loading the xmlhttp response object to a dataset. I can write the xml to a file & read that in to a dataset, but what fun is that? --------------- code: xmlhttp = New MSXML2.XMLHTTP xmlhttp.open("POST", strUrl, False) xmlhttp.setRequestHeader("Content-Type", "text/xml") xmlhttp.Send("...request ...")

We have been noticing that questions on vs.2005/2.0 don't appear to get much in answers so I'm reposting some questions posted by some of the programmers here in our organization that never got answered... There are articles on the new TableAdapters where it says that a key new advantage is that a single TableAdapter, which can have multiple queries, can be used on multiple forms. I had been asked to make it .NET 2.0 and would like to ask couple of questions regarding data access as this application is heavily data-centric around MSDE database. Would it be better to use custom business objects or extend

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
