Hi there, I wonder if there is a kind and knowledgeable person out
there who can help me with a sticky problem.
I have a form with a subform which shows detailed data. For
complicated reasons, which I won't go into, the detail which I require
cannot be determined programmatically, so I planned to have two
subforms, identical in design but with slightly different data,
dependent on a criterion in the main form. Both will sit on the...

I am creating a form with a tab control containing 10 tabs. and what I
want to do is on only on of the tabs, I want a sub section of tabs.
So what it ends up being is one main tab control with another tab
control embedded into only one of the tab pages. The problem I am
getting is when I insert the sub section tab control into one of the
tabs from the main tab control, the sub section tab control appears in
every tab in the main tab...

I am trying to upgrade an old VB 6 project to .Net. One of the things this
application has is a series of 6 tabs in a tabcontrol...BUT the tabs
themselves arent visible when you run the application...instead the only way
to go from one tab to the next is programatically. I have looked through
all the properties I can find to set the tabs themselves to invisible.
Please note: I'm not trying to hide the panel associated with the tab...just...

I am having to resort to Mick's methods when it comes to hiding/showing
tabpages of my tab control since .NET doesn't work correct. I think I
have it finally workign the way I need, but because I can show/hide up
to 10 tabs, there is a lot of repainting/flickering going on and looks
really bad with everything flashing all over the place. Is there a way
to turn off the painting until all the tab stuff is executed and then
do 1 refresh ? ...

I'm using a tab control in Access 2000, and the user requested to have
buttons in the form header, instead of the built-in tabs (so that when they
scroll down, they can still switch tabs). Now, this works fine. However,
when I'm in Design View, I can't access the tabs without changing the tab
control's Style back to Tabs. But I want to be able to place controls in
that space at the top where the tabs used to be. But if I need to turn the...

Hi All
I want to prevent the Windows Tabcontrol from showing the horizontal scroll
bar when the Number of Tabs exceeds the width of the control
I use code in 2 buttons to control the scrolling, as the default scroll
buttons are too hard to target on a Touch Screen
How do I do this?

I am trying to get to grips with the asp.net ajaxcontrol toolkit, and am
trying to add a tabbed control to the page.
I have no problems within the aspx file, and can dynamically manipulate a
tabcontainer which has 1 panel already, however I want to try create the
TabPanels dynamically. I followed the advice here:

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
