I have been working with ASP.NET 1.1 for quite a while now. For some
reason, opening some ASP.NET applications we wrote is producing the
following error message:
"The Web server reported the following error when attempting to create or
open the Web project located at the following URL:
'http://localhost/WebApplication1'. 'HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error'."

I have set up a custom error page for 404 errors.
However the HTTP status code returned is 302 followed by 200, this causes
search engines not to remove old pages from their index.
How can I get the correct status code to be returned?
Thanks

I am wanting to capture the XML posted by an InfoPath form with .NET, but I
cannot figure out how to capture the XML stream sent back by the InfoPath
form. With Classic ASP, I could just create an MSXML object then load the XML
with a simple objXML.Load(Request). This would give me the XML stream, which
I could then manipulate.
However, using System.Xml, this is not possible - not that I have found,
anyway. The InfoPath documentation...

Howdy,
I wrote a web service in .Net for my customer. My customer has another
vendor who now has to consume it but they are not using Visual Studio. Most
of their pages are jsp, and they said they need to consume this web service
using HTTP. The developer's IDE is Notepad. Yeah, weird I know.
How is this done? I guess if I can get it to run ASP, IDE independant, that
should make them happy. Any references you can point me to?

a HTTP connection:
http://diveintopython.org/http_web_services/review.html,
My question is how can i save the data to a file after reading it from
a http connection.
Thank you.

I'm writing a little HTTP server and need to parse request content that
is mime-encoded. All the MIME routines in the Python standard library
seem to have been subsumed into the email package, which makes this
operation a little awkward. It seems I have to do the following:
1. Extract the content-length header from the HTTP request and use that
to read the payload.
2. Stick some artificial-looking headers onto the beginning of this...

While I agree with the sentiment, the oringinal title on this thread
("OT: Specially for , why you should always use example.com
for obfuscating domains") is wrong. There are other reserved domain
names besides example.com.
The search for reserved domain names should start with RFC 2606
( http://www.faqs.org/rfcs/rfc2606.html ) which defines;
*.test
*.example

Dear Friends,
I may take your little bit time to teach me on Credit card information encryption. I know it can be done through SSL certificate. I am very new to SSL Certificate which I need to implement in our website. The SSL certificate is already installed in our hosting web server. I have made a web form in which user will enter his/her credit card information and will be encrypted through ssl certificate in our web server.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
