Is it possible to set the icon and title for a group of
buttons on the taskbar?
The group appears when several applicationwindows are
opened, and when "Group similar taskbar buttons" are
checked at the taskbar properties page.
Some default windows icon are used, unles I set the
application icon in my vs project file. But I would like
to set the icon at runtime.

Hi all,
Is there any .NET way (I am not rulling out API usage) to add button(s) to a
form's title bar?
I found some non-.NET solutions that did actually work in VB6 but not in the
..NET forms...
I tried painting, but the paintaing area provided by the form is only the
client area - no visible way to paint on the title bar.

An application I've just finished developing is not showing up in the
taskbar on startup until the application is clicked on.
This makes it difficult as it is being launched as a No Touch Deployment app
from Internet Explorer. Sometimes the app will show up in the background
without showing up in the taskbar.
Plus if it is minimized, sometimes it just appears hidden without being in
the taskbar and only comes back by clicking Alt-Tab...

Why is that?
If I choose the tiny check boxes which are hard to
hit with a mouse, it works fine. But option buttions,
shich can be sized big enough for people with limited
sight and dexterity to hit - they don't work at all.
Its true. I created 'em with the built-in wizard furnished
with Access 97 but they do not work. I put 12 of 'em
in the group, labeled the months of the year and giving

Hi:
My application creates multiple forms, all of which appear in the
taskbar. Because I have my Windows XP configured to "Group similar
taskbar buttons", the multiple forms get put into the same group on the
taskbar.
Two problems I am running into:
1) the icon - each form's icon is correct, but when stacked in a group,

I have a table with first name, last name, SSN(social security number)
and other columns.
I want to assign group number according to this business logic.
1. Records with equal SSN and (similar first name or last name) belong
to the same group.
John Smith 1234
Smith John 1234
S John 1234
J Smith 1234
John Smith and Smith John falls in the same group Number as long as

Hi,
This is really just a theoretical question for my own interest, and not for
any nefarious purpose... :-)
Say we have three applications running - Notepad, Wordpad and Excel - and
each window is in its "normal" state i.e. not maximised, and not minimised
to the taskbar.
We click each of the three taskbar buttons in turn and, of course, the three

Hi everybody,
I have a form that has a combo box that asks the user to select the program they work on. Once the user selects the program, a SQL statement populates the row source for 4 staff member combo boxes.
I have an option group that has 4 option buttons for the user to indicate how many staff members to include. Once the user selects one of the option buttons, the appropriate number of combo boxes become enabled and contain the...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
