Doing a global font change at runtime

Winform labels, buttons, etc don't respond to the normal/large/extra large
font settings that can be specified in display properties. Is there an easy
way to do an appwide detection+chang e at runtime for accescibility purposes?
I realize the bigger fonts will make things "interestin g" regarding layout in
places, but if simply detecting and doing the font change is a major effort
the other problem is a moot point.

PHP puts most of its functions into a big flat global namespace. That leads to short function names - but creates a namespace minefield for programmers. Lots of the functions are legacies from the days before PHP got object-oriented features. For instance we currently have:

Hi all, I know now how to change the font name of a RTF file in a RTB control using, for example: RTextBox1.SelFontName = cmbFonts.Text I have a RTF file -created with Word- displayed in a RTB control. Whenever I change the font type during the runtime by selecting a font name from a combobox -of all system fonts, the text changes its font correctly but I loose some formatting such as a bold text and/or titles become normal text.

Does anybody know how to change the TreeNode.Bounds at runtime?

How do I serialize Font object into a string that I can store in either INI file or the registry (I know it’s a bad thing, but need to do it nevertheless). Then, also, how do I deserialize it from that string back into a font object? Thanks.

Sorry fi this is a stupid question - I come from a c/c++ background, and the global variables in php aren't making sense to me. If I want to declare a global variable, say in a global.php file, and have it initialized to a certian value once, can that be done? Example: // in global.php $myvar = 25;

When I was using VS2003, I was able to compile my asp.net project locally on my machine and copy it to the production server and it would run just fine. I've now converted to VS2005. The project compiles & runs fine locally, but when I copy to the production machine, I get this error: Parser Error Message: Could not load type 'Global'. Source Error: Line 1: <%@ Application Codebehind="Global.asax.vb" Inherits="Global" %> Source...

I am running out of printing paper trying to debug this...it has to be trivial, but I cannot figure it out--can you? Why am I not printing text, but just the initial string "howdy"? On the screen, when I open a file, the entire contents of the file is in fact being shown...so why can't I print it later? All of this code I am getting from a book (Chris Sells) and the net. The solution is to be found in the fact that stringbuilder is...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
