Hello,
My application loads with a form which is the mdi parent and a menu item click (main menu of the parent form) brings up a child form.
I have to wait for a considerable amout of time to execute an oracle procedure which has to be invoked from the above said child form.
The problem now is, during this waiting time, my mdi parent's menu is appearing to be not responding (becoming white in simple words). Once the oracle procedure is...

My control pops a menu (below, not directly under, the pointer) OnMouseDown,
and, probably because of the loss of focus, OnDoubleClick doesn't fire any
more. Is there a way to get doubleclick back without some ugly workaround?
TIA,

For some reason, when I click the X to close my MDI parent form, the action
appears to be re-directed to one of the MDI child forms, and the parent
remains open. I am then unable to close the application.
What should happen, is that the main MDI form should close, taking the child
forms with it. There is code to loop through the child forms, remove the
controls on each of them, and then close the form, but this code should
execute only...

In VB 2005 I have six seperately named picture boxes (arranged in a table
layout control) in which I plot different X/Y data lines. I would like to be
able to right-click on a specific picture box (say, plot #3) and select a
different line color for that one plot.
How can I figure out which of the six plots is the one in question when
right-clicking on it? I can easily change the line color using the context
menu control, but I don't...

I have a context menu which is shared between a TreeView and ListView
control (both controls show the same information, similar to how
Windows Explorer works, so it makes sense to use the same menu on both
views).
What i'm struggling to do when the menuItem_Click event is fired, is
to detect the TreeNode or ListViewItem that was originally right
clicked when the context menu was opened.
I can't just look at the selected item, because...

Forgive me if this has been already asked an answered, I did do a

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
