Changing an existing control's attributes

Hello,
I am trying to change the line color of a group box so that when the
user moves the mouse over the control, it starts flickering or the color
of the line drawing of the group box changes to a more distinguished
color. How do i do this? I know that a groupbox has a Bounds property
which gives a handle to the rectangle of the control. Do i need to
create a new graphics and pen object or is there an easier way to change
the line color?
thanks,
BRAMOIN

Hello C# Gurus, Please excuse my VB mindset. I am writing a class library in C# that is used by a VB ASP.NET app. When SQL Server detects a data validation exception, I want to use a C# function within the library to alert the user and send focus to the offending control. In VB.NET, I can code something like this (where I just put a runat=server onto the <BODY> tag and named it BodyTag) : DirectCast(Page.FindControl("BodyTag"), _...

Hi, I've written a web server custom control. If it's attributes are set at design time in the HTML it works fine. But I want to also be able to dynamically change some of the properties in the code behind file. Is there any way to do this? When I write the code for the button_click event to set the properties, the control doesn't render with the changed properties the way it should. Any ideas?

I am working on a complex server control that dynamically creates an HtmlInputHidden control that stores its value. As far as the postback process is concerned, this hidden input acts as the control itself. So when I render, I generate a proxy HtmlInputHidden like so: protected virtual void Render(HtmlTextWriter writer) { HtmlInputHidden hiddenInput = new HtmlInputHidden(); hiddenInput.ID = ClientID; hiddenInput.Name = UniqueID;

Is there any method to temporarily disable focus changing?(I assume only method is tab or mouse?) This problem has been tieing me up for a while and nothing seems to work. The only thing that I *know* will work is to disable all tab stops on all controls. This brute force method doesn't seem like a good idea though. What I wanted to do was take control the control enter/leave and mouse enter/leave and "switch back" the focus when it is...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
