Hi,
I have a table that give a unique ID to certain Articles.
To give the ID i simply use the Auto count of the DB.
But what happens when i delete a record? i am now missing an ID.
How can i insert a row and give it the first available number?
For example ID 1, 2, 4, 5, 6

I have a webserver through Rackspace. I create a domain. I create an
FTP user. I upload some files. I create a database called
testOfSetupScript and then I create a database user named setup.
I write some PHP code which should, I think, be able to to auto create
the tables.
The SQL looks like this:

I've seen plenty of articles on this topic but none of them have been
able to solve my problem.
I am working with an Access 97 database on an NT4.0 machine, which has
many Access reports.
I want my users to be able to select a report, click on a command
button on a form, which will then automatically create the report as a
pdf file and save it to the user's machine.
I am using Adobe Acrobat (5.0 I think) and have Adobe Distiller as a

Hello.
Is the statement below proved by the ANSI C standard?
"It is undesirable to use explicitly sized variables in functions as
auto variables or parameters. The values will always be stored as the
processor native word size, and extra code will be generated by the
compiler to mask off bits that are not significant in the result."

Hello,
I have a stored procedure which generates some values in the table.
When I use update() how to populate the dataset with theses values ?
For the moment I use output parameter but it just works for 1 row and as the
dataset doesn't have the value I should put it after and the rowstate goes
to "modified"...
Any ideas ?

I have a MustInherits Base class that implements a custom IDataLayer
interfase. IDataLayer expose CRUD methods. Base class constructor requires
two parameters:
ConnectionString
TableName
Another assembly, sharing the root namespace, contains a set of Custom
attributes used to validate properties values, just like the Validation
Application Block.

Hi All,
We are testing one of our component with JDBC + DB2 using db2jcc
driver. We afced a strange issue.
Scenario is like this.
1. We insert 1 record to a table having IDENTITY column as the primary
key and retrieve the newly inserted identity value using
getGeneratedKeys() API of JDBC 3.0. It works fine
2. Immediate after that we insert a record into another table which is
having no identity column. But after insert if I call...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
