Hi all,
I have a Windows 2003 server, which is also a terminal server for
application, with sql 2000 installed. My company has developed an
application that uses SQL 2000 as its database. The application is a
client/server one. In each client computer there's a link to the
application on the server. There is no problem with Windows 98,
Windows 2000 pro, Windows xp pro clients, but the windows 95 ones

Hi,
I am developing an intranet portal and i have used Windows Authentication.
The application is hosted on a windows 2003 server with .NET Framework 1.1.
I have set the session timeout to 20 minutes in the web.config.
The application is a reporting tool and at times there are some long running
queries which may take 5-6 minutes to run .
when my application(site) is accessed by users, few users are getting the
windows authentication...

to any page on the site to an SSL login page (on a different website with
the same root domain) if they do not have the appropriate session cookie
already. After logging in on that page successfully they are given the

I am having problems trying to perform authorization in a web
application using windows authentication. According to the
instructions I should be able to use the following elements in the
<authorization> section of my config to only allow selected users to
access the service.

I have windows authentication mode enabled on my application.
If I access the website with localhost/mywebsite I get logged in
directly and LoginView control will display my account name.
When I access my application from another machine (ipaddress/
