Please help
I don't know if this is possible but what I would really like to do is
to use On Error Goto to capture the code that is being executed when
an error occurs.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Hi.
In the ldb file you can see the users of the mdb-file. If you open the
mdb-file your machine and username will be written in the lbd- file.
Allthough you close the mdb-file your name won't disappear from the
ldb-file, before every user has closed the mdb-file.
I have heard that there will be problems if the amount of users will
be over 10 in mdb-files. Is that true?

I've seen plenty of articles on this topic but none of them have been
able to solve my problem.
I am working with an Access 97 database on an NT4.0 machine, which has
many Access reports.
I want my users to be able to select a report, click on a command
button on a form, which will then automatically create the report as a
pdf file and save it to the user's machine.
I am using Adobe Acrobat (5.0 I think) and have Adobe Distiller as a

Hi,
I am automating Access reports to PDF using PDF Writer 6.0. I've
created a DTS package to run the reports and schedule a job to run this
DTS package. If I PC Anywhere into the server on where the job is
running, the job runs sucessfully, PDF files got generated, everything
is good. If I scheduled the job to run at the time that I am not
logged into the server, Access is not able to print to the printer.
The error is pretty...

Hi. I'm developing a desktop application that needs to store some data in a
local file. Let's say for example that I want to have an address book with
names and phone numbers in a file. I would like to be able to retrieve the
name by searching for a given phone number the fastest I can.
I have considered the posibility of using XmlTextReader with something like:
<list>
<item number="1234567">
<name>John Doe</name>

I have a MS access database which has entries (each of which has a name
field) and uses a form to make new entries. I would like to put
together code that will run when a new entry's name is entered that
does the following:
1) query the database to see if that name is already entered
2) if the name is already present, popup a msgbox telling the user the
name is already in the system, and in some way list the results of the
query (it is...

This involves a family of related, databound ASPNET2 composite controls.
I've managed to arrange things so that the composite controls restore themselves from ViewState on postback after they're initially
configured during DataBind(). Thanks to Steven Cheng for pointing out that you have to set the constituent control properties after
you add them to the composite control collection for the restore to work!
However, I now have a...

Hi, I am using access 2003, I would like to know if there is an option
to reorganize the tables in a maner that is readable, as we can do in
sql sever 2000 or 2005.
I have been given a database to look a and I am loosing tremendious
amounts of time trying to organize it so that I could view it.

Hello,
I have a dataset which consist of a string username and string hostname as a
key and then an integer representing a count as the matching "second" value
in a pair.
So far I've used std::list to store this information by inserting objects
containing all 3 pieces of information. However now some users has datasets
in the range of 12000 records and my list seems to be taking like forever to
complete inserting and finding.

I have not seen this feature documented before, so I thought I would share it with you, as I will be using it in a later article.
For a combo or list box, the source data is normally a Table/Query. Or it could be a value list, a static list of data.
But what if your information is not held in a table, and it is not a static list.
Examples I have used have been, “next 100 prime numbers after this one”, “Every third Friday from start of...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

In this session, we are pleased to welcome a new presenter, Adolph Dupré who will be discussing some powerful techniques for using class modules.
He will explain when you may want to use classes instead of User Defined Types (UDT). For example, to manage the data in unbound forms.
Adolph will...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
