Hello,
I'm currently developing a web service that retrieves data from an employee
table. I would like to send and retrieve a custom employee class to/from the
webservice. I have currently coded the custom employee class and have built
it as a separate library (employee.dll). This employee.dll is being
referenced by both the web service and the windows application.
I face the following problem when I send this class to the webservice.

Hi-- I'm trying to databind a business object to several controls using the
DataBindings property of the controls, like this:
textBoxStartDate.DataBindings.Add("Text", CurrentStep,
"StartDate",
true, DataSourceUpdateMode.OnValidation, String.Empty,
"d");
Where CurrentStep is a business object of type ProjectStep, with several
properties, such as the StartDate property shown above.

Hi,
I've created a Person-Object which implemts INotifyPropertyChanged. This
Person-Object contains an Address-Object which implements
INotifyPropertyChanged too.
Then I create a BindingList<Person> which is the DataSource for my
BindingSource. I created some TextBoxes bound to this BindingSource like this:
Binding b = new Binding("Text", bindingSource, "Name");

I have an object we'll call it MyObject. MyObject has a property calld
MyBusinessObjects of type List<IMyBusinessObject2>. IMyBusinessObject2 is a
defined interface in my application (See below). I want to bind the
MyBusinessObjects property to a ComboBox as follows:
ComboBox cbData = new ComboBox();
BindingSource bsSource = new BindingSource();
bsSource.DataSource = MyObject.MyBusinessObjects;
cbData.DisplayMemeber = "Text";

Hi-
OK, I've got a DataGridView, I've created a BindingSource from one of my
Business Entity object (based on generated classes from EntitySpaces) I've
left the default column setup so that all the columns are displayed.
My DataSource objects are composed like this:
class Customer : esCustomer // where esCustomer is the EntitySpaces class
that was generated

Hi, I create custom entity objects, a custom collections for the entity objects and a custom object that acts like a collection of the custom entity collections which I called EntitySet Object. The EntitySet is used to bind the entity collections to windows form bindingsource in design time. After 2 weeks of bloody coding and reading really "Helpfull" msdn docs, thanks to http://www.freeweb.hu/noiseehc/ finally I've managed to create the...

I have a custom business object that implements INotifyPropertyChanged
and IEditableObject. The collection of these objects inherits from
BindingList<T>. I created a BindingSource from which a grid (list of
objects) and a detail groupbox where bunch of textboxes are bound to
them.
Problem is I need to detect 2 things:
1. A way to know the current record is dirty (meaning any bound
property has changed), so I can enable/disable the...

Hi
Does anyone know if there any dotnet software out there which converts a
dataset into a collection of custom objects, programmatically i.e.
actually creates the class structure and collection class on-the-fly
based on the fields in the dataset and then creates and populates the
classes and adds them into the collection.
Thanks

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...
