Pramod

Dear Readers, I am attempting to draw box around some text using unicode on multiline label. The label is forty characters wide and 12 lines deep. I have been trying to draw a box around text (centered in the label) on this label. My font on this label is Courier new - hence fixed width character cells.

Sorry for the multipost, but no one was responding in the other thread. If any solution is forthcoming, I will return to the original thread and post it there as well. I've created a usercontrol and I'm trying to emulate the look of a mac effect (just for showing some options to my boss) by using 2 gradient rectangles. I'm having a LOT of trouble doing this, however, because I keep getting a 1 or 2 pixel line showing up. Can someone...

Hi, I'm looking for examples of the different brush and fill styles that can be made using System.Drawing.Drawing2D. I haven't actually used this class before, so any example code accompanying visual style examples would be an ideal thing to help me learn. Does anyone know of a website that has such examples? Cheers,

I am drawing a rectangle on a picture that has already been drawn on the graphics area (a user control). It works something like this: //in the MouseDown event m_isDragging = true; m_oldX = e.X; //save original positions m_oldY = e.Y; //in the MouseMove event if (m_isDragging)

I have a logical drawing space much bigger than the viewport (the screen) and I'd like to center the viewport (the screen) to be at the center of the logical drawing space. After following the excellent transforms specified on Bob Powell's site, I still wonder if there's an easier way of centering it than the following procedure? Here is what I do now (it's awkward but it works): 1) I follow the transforms specified on Bob Powell's...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
