Hi,
I have a C# web service client that talks to a JAVA application sever.
I use AXIS to generate the WSDL file, use wsdl.exe to generate proxy
stub c# code. When I try to use c# client connect to application
server, I did not get the result in the C# client side, I used a soap
monitor to look at the SOAP messages that were exchanged, I can see
server returned a correct SOAP message, but the C# client failed to
deserialize the XML...

I noticed that the SessionID is now a complex string instead of a simple
number as it was under ASP.
I believe it could be because when session variables are persisted ot the
database, reusing a number should be avoided to prevent picking variables
used by a previously abandonned session.
That said I've not been able to find out how unique is supposed to be this
new SessionID, it is some kind of encoded GUID with uniqueness guarantee...

I have a custom attribute that I attach to certain pages in my application and I want to inspect each page request as it is made to see if the custom attribute is attached to the underlying page class. If is attached I want to perform some action.
How can I access custom attributes from an HttpModule? I have to pass a target to the
System.Attribute.GetCustomAttribute() call to attempt to retrieve the attached attribute.

For some odd reason, despite the fact that I assign my own custom IPrincipal
to the HttpContext.User property in an HttpApplication.AuthenticateRequest
event handler inside of an IHttpModule, when I check the Page.User property,
it's a WindowsPrincipal and not _my_ custom Iprincipal. Why would this be?

How do I make the Objects in the custom made HttpModule available to ASPX
page or ASCX controls without requiring an object reference?
For example, SessionState HttpModule made the Session object available
throughout the ASP.NET application without needing to have a reference to
SessionState HttpModule. So how do I expose my own objects from my own
custom HttpModule available throughout the ASP.NET application?
