One or more of the types in the assembly unable to load

MAF
I am trying to use reflection to load an assembly and one of my assemblies
throws the following error:

One or more of the types in the assembly unable to load

Is there anyway to find out what type or types are unable to load? The
assembly happens to be in VB.Net instead of all my other assemblies which
are in csharp.

Assembly
objAssembly=Sys tem.Reflection. Assembly.LoadFr om(projectObjec t.CompilePath +
projectObject.A ssemblyName);

arOfTypes=objAs sembly.GetTypes ();

This error might occur if there was a missing external dependency. Try
examining the call-stack and the exception that is thrown by debugging line
by line to see if the exact type that caused the failure can be determined.

You can use the "Fusion Log Viewer" (fuslogvw.exe) to find out what
happened:

1. Open vs.net command window
2. Enter "fuslogvw", this will display the "Assembly Binding Log Viewer"
3. Execute the code that causes the error
4. Look at the error in the viewer.

This happens with ANY Activex even though the ActiveX is...

I'm hoping someone can help me out. We're running a website that uses XML/XSLT transformations, VB.Net and an Oracle database. Currently the site cannot support more than 6-7 users at a time before the CPU gets pegged at 100% utilization. The XML/XSL document get transformed on the server and averages 200k when it runs through the transformNode method. I've created an IISState log file and noticed the following threads taking up a lot...

I would like to extend the capabilities of my application by calling a user method residing in a client provided assembly without having to recompile my application. Things would work like this: 1- Read a configuration file where the client provides the assembly name (DLL) and the method name. 2- Detect the existence of the assembly file.

Hi group! Is it possible to scan an assembly *which has NOT been added as a reference* for types, and dynamically create instances of the loaded types? I have a program, MyProgram.exe, which at runtime uses Asseembly.LoadFile(...) to load an assembly, MyAssembly.dll. When MyAssembly.dll is added as a reference to the MyProgram project, serialization and de-serialization works lige a charm.

Hi, I have been searching around to try adding reference assembly to another assembly during runtime, programatically. Is this possible in .Net? The reason for this is because i am having trouble using a library that creates an instance of a Type that i specified, and it failed the locate the Type during runtime, if i do not reference it during compile time.

In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
