Where did System.Transact ions.WsTx go???

Hi group!

I've spent the last few days trying to make a simple WS-Transaction (using
..net 2.0).
After using google for a few hours I saw the solution: the
System.Transact ions.WsTx
namespace, with a few classes, with which you can (hopefully easily) make a
WebService
Transaction (the kind from the WS-Transaction specification).

I saw that some guy installed Longhorn (PDC edition) and made a simple
transaction with it.

So I installed Indigo (on a machine having VS 2005 beta2) - it wasn't there
I installed Windows Longhorn - Vista beta1 - it wasn't there eaither...

So where is it?!
All I need is a simple WS-Transaction, preferably on a Win XP machine...

please help...

I have a table called Transactions with 3 fields: ID, Date, and Amount. Each ID can have multiple transactions in one particular year. An ID might not have had any transactions in recent years. For each ID I would like to sum all the transactions for the most recent year in which one or more transactions have occurred. Thanks for any help and for all previous help.

Being fairly inexperienced at Access 2000, i've been reading many posts here for the last several days, and testing myself to find the best approach to do the following in A2K: SET UP: I have created a MainTable (and related form), which has an associated SubForm (popup) along with its underlying, separate Table. The tables' relationship is one to many respectively. The primary key

I've been using C# transactions for a while and had no problems with them. Using try catch blocks I can trap basically all possible errors and rollback all necessary data. Over the last few days I've been trying to convert some of this code to SQL Server stored procedures, but it seems to lack many of the benefits of C# transactions - a lot of the errors don't seem to be trapped by the SQL error trapping (e.g. if I do an update on a row...

Hello ppl, Imagine some online system, based on PgSql. There are 'many' parts which depends on each other. I will give small example, but instead of simple table imagine changing tenths various tables (editing). So, 'change table A' can be work for hours. There are tables tableA and tableB. Changes are made by thin client. If you change tableA, you have to also change tableB to 'finish' operation. Between starting changing tableA...

Hello! I am trying to build an ajax chat system. Currently I have it so that when you chat, you upload your message to the database, and each client is polling that database to see if he/she has any new messages. The problem with this is that I poll at 2 second intervals (since connection is not active), and so its not as responsive as I'd like it to be. My question is, is an active HTTP connection possible? How did Meebo or Gmail...

Hello, I am learning .NET 2.0 (ASP.NET, ADO.NET). I would like to ask experienced programmers when to use System.Transactions. One programmer told me that he never used System.Transactions, he only uses database transaction (SqlTransaction) and recommended me this method but he did not explained why. I have read a few pages about both transaction types in MSDN but I have little experience I don't know what are practical usages of...

Hi, I am trying to implement sql transactions. But I am not knowing how to do that. I created a data access layer which contains methods to select/insert/update tables in a database. I have also created a business logic layer to retrieve/update the data from the data access layer. All of this is working fine if there are no transactions involved. If I need to use transactions, I am not knowing how to do that. Lets say I have a webform...

I've implemented transactions in my dotNet 2.0 project using System.Transactions and TransactionScope. --- TransactionOptions options = new TransactionOptions(); options.IsolationLevel = System.Transactions.IsolationLevel.Serializable; options.Timeout = new TimeSpan(0, 5, 0); using (TransactionScope transactionScope = new TransactionScope(TransactionScopeOption.Required, options)) { DoWork();

I used the classes (SqlCommand, SqlConnection) of part of System.Data namespace. I got an error which mentioned "Could not load file or assembly assembly 'System.Transactions, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=B77A5C561934E089 or noe of its dependencies. What should I do to fix this issue? Strange enough, this application works fine other boxes except one box

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
