Hi All,
When you add an object to a combobox, and run the application, you'll get
something like this:
System.Windows.Forms.Button, Text: Button1
(for example).
Is it possible to have just the text/value in the object to be displayed in

Hi,
I have a ComboBox of +- 15.000 items in it, via a DataSource. On Top of the
Items-list, I want to add some values, based on a user choise (via a filter
on the DataSource). Does anybody know how I can do this? When just adding
them with ComboBox.items.Insert I get an "Items collection cannot be
modified when the DataSource property is set".
Does anybody has a solution for this? i'm surely not the first to do this
:-) I'm using...

How do I add objects to a comboBox?
What I need is something similar to what there was in MFC as
MyObj obj;
ComboBox cb;
int index = cb.Add(obj.name);
cb.AddItemData(&obj, index);
Which can then be retrieved as:

I have a bound combobox the appears on a cell within the column of my bound
grid when the user clicks on a cell n(In my vb.net WinForm app).
I am trying to allow the adding of an item to that bound combo by allowing
the user to dynamically type in the new value directly in the combo box
whcih in turn updates the lookup table and then when they have finished
leaves that particular cell on the grid with the correct value.
Seems...

I wanted to add a Combobox to a toolbar... Kind of the look you get on
VisualStudio's toolbar.
I've been able to find some VB 6 samples, but the placeholder option is no
longer available for ToolbarButtons...
Does anyone know how this could be done?
Looking forward to hear from you,

I need a right-click menu on a form list control with combobox
controls.
I used View->Toolbars->Customize to create a toolbar.
I added ComboBox through commands tab.
I set properties to Popup making it a shortcut menu.
I have no problem linking it to the list control.
The menu comes up when I right-click the list control.

I have a ComboBox and a List of objects to popolate items.
I use the DataSource property and not the List collection:
List<foolst = new List<foo>;
//add elements into the list
//...
comboBox1.DataSource = lst;
This work fine, items appear.
Now I have a button near the combo box and I want to add a new element

Perhaps this has been asked before but there might be some up to date
thinking about this.
I really need a better search function for my asset register. I allow
assets to be entered and tracked over a period of time. There can be quite
similar assets and simply choosing from the combo box is not enough. I need
something more sophisticated.
How hard is it to get a listing that grows as I type in a search term,
character by...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
