Hello Everyone,
QUESTION #1
I am working on a timer. I have the following code which works kind of
OK.
If Form1.WindowState = 1 Then Form1.WindowState = 0
The problem is that if the user has another window open when my timer
program restores itself it ends up behind whatever window is currently open.

I want to be able to add a clock to the title of a VB.NET form.
Simply updating the FormClass.Text property does not quite make it, the
titile only changes once the form is minimised/maximised.
Preferrably I'd like to use a Windows API to change the text displayed in
the TASKBAR for the form window.
Is it possible to change the title used by the taskbar to something
different to the title used by the form window?
Have been searching for...

I want my application to run most of the time as just an notify icon
visible in the system tray, with some dialogs windows that open if the user
selects an option from the context menu on the tray icon. I've had a look at
the example on code project that creates an application that runs in the
system tray:
http://www.codeproject.com/csharp/desktop_mail_checker.asp
So I copied how the above article sets up the main form: the form's...

Hi,
My VC++ application does not have a titlebar (and therefore no System menu,
no minimize, no maximize
and no close button). We have a custom button for minimize and close.
When the app is in normal/maximized view, clickinng on the taskbar entry
does not minimize the
application. Normally (with apps with titlebar), the application would
minimize when you click on

(1) By setting an icon in my Windows Form properties, I successfully
display my custom icon when my application is executed. However, as soon
as I open the Options form in my application--now having two windows
open--they are grouped on the taskbar, but with a generic icon. Both my
main form and my Option form are using the same icon. How can I use my
custom icon instead of the generic icon in a .Net 2.0 C# application?
(2) A standard...

Hello!
So im working on an applicaiton that all pretty much sits on a single
form.
When the application completes a task, I'd like it to use
FlashWindow() to notify the user that it has completed. I have this
part working; however, I cant seem to find the right event to use to
Stop the flashing.

I'm kinda newbie to python and wxPython. Now I'm confronting a thorny
problem: how can I make my program minimize to the taskbar
represented as an ico, and when there is some message from network
coming, it will pop out?

I wish to be able to copy a form's icon into a picturebox, in a similar way
to how the Windows Taskbar copies each form's icon into each of its task
panels.
I can easily read out the icon of each form by querying the .Icon property.
However, when I use the Graphics.DrawIcon method to draw this into my
picturebox, it is clearly the "large" version of the icon that is being
drawn. When I draw it with a size of 16x16 pixels, the icon is...

Access 97/2003 Windows XP (Classic Start Menu)
I just converted an mdb from A97 to A2K3 and found something that,
after Google search, doesn't appear to have been addressed in cdma...
I have a form "frmMainMenu" that is the designated startup form (under
Tools-Startup). In the Open event of that form, I open another form
"frmHidden" and set its Visible property to false.
When I converted to A2K3, it worked fine just like in A97. ...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
