Set IDE doc as Read Only

Hi,

What is the Keyboard command to set an ID editor file as read only,
so that I don't make any accidental changes? I want to make a
keyboard shortcut.

Thanks,
Mark

Hi, I have these 2 problem? Is there a way in Oracle to read UNCOMMITED data. i.e. in Oracle the normal behaviour is that a user's updates to a table are visible to other users ONLY when the user commits. But in Informix there is this thing called ISOLATION LEVELS. For example by setting the ISOLATION LEVEL to DIRTY READ, a user will...

I have a question about oracle commit and transactions. Following scenario: Process A performs a single sql-INSERT into a table and commits the transaction. Then he informs process B (ipc) to read the new date. So process B starts "select ..." but does not get the previously inserted row. The timespan between commit and select is very short....

I have an object that has a fairly complex construction sequence, so I have written a dedicated "factory" class that invokes the constructor of my object class (which does nothing but instantiate the object and set default blank/null values), and then does all the Db access and number crunching to populate the new object. The factory returns...

I have been playing around with a subclass of dict wrt a recipe for setting dict items using attribute syntax. The dict class has some read only attributes that generate an exception if I try to assign a value to them. I wanted to trap for this exception in a subclass using super but it doesn't happen. I have read Guido's tutorial on new...

Hi, I have a read only access file with a linked table that connects to a sybase database. So I can still add data to the table even though its read only since the table is really in sybase. However, I want to import data from an excel file (either via a macro in excel or access) but I always get an "Error 3051" because the access file is...

Hi, I had the following doubts about the "For Read Only" clause. 1. How does a "for Read only" clause improve the performance? 2. How does a "for Read only" clause compare with "With UR" clause in performance? Which is faster? Can someone clarify on that?

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention.
