DataGrid Combobox Column Redraw Problem

AR
I have a datagrid containing a single combobox column. It also contains an
'Add New Row' button at the bottom of the datagrid. The datagrid is in a
form that contains 'Save' and 'Restore' buttons. The 'Save' button saves all
the data from the dataset to the database. The 'Restore' button resets the
datagrid to the values contained in it at the last 'Save' operation.

When I have 3 entries (rows) populated within the datagrid. If I delete the
2nd row, immediately add a new row and press the 'Restore', the datagrid
seems to lock up and only the first row is editable.

If I make a change to the form and 'Save', then everything works fine.
If I click the header text on the datagrid combobox column, the column is
sorted and all rows become editable again ...

However I cannot get rid of this problem in code ... it seems like I have to
force the datagrid to refresh, but using datagrid.refres h does not work ...
any ideas ?

Thanks

Hi, I'm trying to implement a ComboBox drop-down column for a DataGrid. When a cell is selected in the ComboBox column I overlay a ComboBox over the cell and call: this.comboBox.Show(); this.comboBox.BringToFront(); this.comboBox.Focus();

G'day, After doing much searching and pinching bits of ideas from here there and everywhere I came up with a fairly 'clean' solution of including a comboBox into a dataGrid column. You can download a fully working C# sample with the Northwind.mdb here: www.insightgis.com.au/web/stuff/DataGridCombo.zip

Hay there, I'm writing my own DataGridComboBoxColumn because .NET 1.1 does not have one (I hope .NET 2.0 supplies one). I based it on this article: http://msdn.microsoft.com/msdnmag/issues/03/08/DataGrids/default.aspx I have a problem when there are two DataGrid's on one form, and when I switch focus from one grid to the other. To be more precise, when I'm editing a combo box column in one grid, and then click in the combo column of...

Hi Folks, I'm adding some columns to my datagrid which are of Combo Box type. I'm inheriting DataGridTextBoxColumn and doing all the usual stuff to get them populated. This is working fine. I have added some functionality where if the user right clicks the combobox a context menu will appear, saying "Fill the complete column with value 'XXX'". This value is the value they selected from the combobox. This is also working fine. However,...

I successfully autosized the columns and rows on my Datagrid, and am now facing another issue. Having the sorting ability by clicking the column headers is key, but when I do that, it resizes all my rows back to their defaults. I populate the datagrid, resize it accordingly and it works fine...just when I click the headers is when it messes up. It would be fine if I could run my autosizing again after the sorting is done since there...

I have a nested datagrid in a xaml file, the parent datagrid loads the vendor information and the details loads the documents for that vendor in a datagrid. Everything is working fine until I click in the child datagrid and then go to the combobox and choose another vendor. When the new vendor is loaded nothing shows in the datagrid but the itemsource shows the info is there. Know if I click on the child cell and then click back on the...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
