ListView and images

Hi,

How do you put images into listview subitems ??

I have the following

lstV.SmallImage List = imgList;
ListViewItem item1 = new ListViewItem("" , 1);
item1.SubItems. Add("Location 1");

ListViewItem item2 = new ListViewItem("" , 2);
item1.ImageInde x = 2;
item2.SubItems. Add("4");

ListViewItem item3 = new ListViewItem("" , 3);
item1.ImageInde x = 3;
item3.SubItems. Add("7");

lstV.Items.AddR ange(new ListViewItem[]{item1,item2,it em3});

But I also want to be able to add images to the subitems.
How can I do this??

Hi I am using Listview and inherited listview control overriding WndProc & PreProcessMessage in ListView. I need this to customize listview to display only the page the user scrolls to. Since i am populating listview with more than 200,000 items. It is too slow and tried virtual listview. But that doesnot allow me to add images in the listview. So now trying to list only the page user scrolls to.

Hi All I used listview and tried to update it by using Addrange. When the number of items is less, it works fine.. But I need to update nearly 200,000 items and it hangs. Also i need to add images to listview also(This is to list all the items in my inbox, and want to give the user the feel of outlook). Since it hangs for even 1000 items in the inbox, i tried to shift to virtual listview. But virtual listview

I'm working with a subclassed listview control and I'd like to have the ability to set the checkbox on a certain item to indeterminate. I've tried adding three images to the stateimagelist (unchecked, checked, and indeterminate), but setting the checkstate in the ItemCheck event doesn't seem to do the trick. Actually, whenever I click on the checkbox it seems to cycle through the images in the stateimagelist. Also, once this item is set...

I'm trying to put icons in the header of my ListView. All the .net posts I found refer to an example on thecodeproject which is no longer there (part of commercial package now). I converted the code I used in VB6 which all appears to run ok but doesn't actually create the images ever. These are generic functions to set the images for any listview. Please help,

Hi, I've got a list view that displays a series of images. I'd like to be able to draw a divider across the list view to divide the images into groups. Ideally, I'd have a group name, with a line underneath it that spans the ListView. How could this be done? I tried using an image as the divider, but it forced the divider image to be the same size as the image size used for the ImageList that stores the images for the ListView.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
