ToolTips showing behind form

Hi,

I have attached tooltips to some buttons on my toolbar, but the tooltips at
some times are showing up behind the form. When I hover over the button on
the far right of my toolbar, I can see the tooltip popping out from under
the form. On the other buttons they aren't visible. This problem comes and
goes.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks,
Billy

Hi Billy,

First of all, I would like to confirm my understanding of your issue. From
your description, I understand that the tooltips on a toolbar shows behind
the form in your app. If there is any misunderstandin g, please feel free to
let me know.

Based on my research, I assume this might be happening when the form is set
to "Always on top". If "Always on top" is not set, tooltip is shown
properly. This is a known issue. However, currently, I don't have a
workaround. Our product team is working on this and hope they will workout
a fix on it. Sorry for the inconvenience.

HTH.

I can't quite grasp the concept of creating custom reports depending upon what options a user picks on a Form. For example, the user clicks on a "Print Reports" button and a Form pops up. I added a toolbar to a form and added one button. I made sure ShowToolTips = true for the Toolbar, and have set a tooltip for the button. The problem is the tooltip only shows after clicking somewhere on the toolbar itself. It seems it needs to have the focus before tooltips will show. Any ideas? Greg

How do you set the tool tip property on a button. This was easy in VB6. Here is the code I am trying to use. Dim toolTip1 As New ToolTip() ' Set up the delays for the ToolTip. toolTip1.AutoPopDelay = 500 toolTip1.InitialDelay = 100 toolTip1.ReshowDelay = 50

I have a feeling this is something simple. I have a MDI app written in vb.NET - but no tooltips seem to be showing. Is there some "ShowTips" property that I need to be setting on each window? -- - Mitchell Vincent - kBilling - Invoices Made Easy! - http://www.k-billing.com

I have a working VB.NET program to which I added a ToolTips control and set the main Form with some tooltip text, but the tooltip is not shown when the Form appears.
