Hi;
I saw a project in MSDN VirtualLabs "Soup to Nuts Lab 3-Rapid Application
Development with Visual Studio .NET". (NorthWind). Because of my bandwith I
cannot examine on VirtualLab.
Where I can found this project to download and run at my computer?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Senol,
Welcome to MSDN newsgroup.
As for the Online Lab training on the MSDN developer center site, such lab
are all hosted through virutal server( vPC) in your internal servers. So
due to our internal policy , these VPC images can't be exposed to public,
so I'm afraid currently we have to access them by remote desktop online.
Thanks for your understanding.

Steven Cheng

I'm using subversion. But I guess this is not important for the issue.
So which files of a VB project should be (at least) under source control? Or
which ones definitly not? I know from VB6 projects that there are a lot of
unimportant files (vbw, exe, obj, ...) . But I don't know which of the
VB-VS2005 files are similar. So can anyone give me some hints please?
So far I have the following files:
..resx
..exe

I've added a web deployment project and want to use the config section
replacement but I'm obviously not understanding something.
I have set up an alternate appSettings file, test.appSettings.config, and
when I build the appSettings are correctly overridden, but I also end up with
a copy of test.appSettings.config in my web site. If I have config sections
for several environments they all get copied.
How do I stop the copy? I wondered...

Hi,
After I right-click on my web application project file and choose
"Publish ." and do the publishing, the result publishable files does not
include the *.ashx files. Is it by design? How can I add *.ashx files to
the publish target?

VB2005 Express.
I am developing a solution that involves a windows forms application and a
number of class library projects (DLLs). Some of the DLLs require extra data
files or third party dlls. I can include additional non-source files in my
projects, but these are not always automatically included when I publish the
application. It seems that files included in the main application project
are included, but any files that I add to other...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
