Hello every one
I am using editable datagrid in my application. I set grid's allowpaging property to true. My application is not working properly. When I click on 'Edit' to modify any row, instead of making the row editable for user, PageIndexChanged event is fired and grid's current page is changed. When I click on next/previous page my current page is not chaning. Can any body help me what to do. My complete code is as under

Hello, I am using an editable datagrid. After I save the changes the
datagrid shows the old values.
I've read the posts about the Page_Load and not binding the datagrid
each time. The SQL that is being sent to the database is correct and
the changes are eventually being made. If I refresh the page after the
update then the new values appear.
I noticed that when I put a breakpoint in my update handler everything
works fine. When I take...

Hi,
I have a datagrid databound to a SQL query. I'd like to allow editing of
some columns but not all. Is there a way to turn off the conversion of the
datagrid cells to textboxes for some columns when the Edit button is
pressed?
Thank you,
Stephan.

Hi,
I¹ve tried to implement a solution to populate a dropdownlist inside an
editable datagrid. The code is simple enough and an example can be found
here: <http://www.4guysfromrolla.com/webtech/050801-1.shtml>
The problem I'm having is that the entire datagrid disappears after I click
the Edit link.
Could someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
Much appreciated,
Stephan.

I have a webform with a two-column datagrid based on an Arraylist. The
Arraylist draws the data for the two columns from two different tables
in an SQL database. The data is displayed in datagrid as expected but
when user clicks the Edit link, the cells do NOT turn into editable
text boxes. I actually need only the first column to be editable but
any ideas on getting the whole row editable would help at first.
Apologies for the amount of...

Hi,
I have 2 questions:
1. I have an editable data grid with 21 columns. I need to edit only 2
cloumns in this data grid. But when the grid is displayed in Edit mode, all
the columns show long text boxes whichmakes the user to SCROLL a lot.
I need only these 2 cloumns to be displayed in Edit mode. Is that possible &
how?
2. Also, even when the data grid is not displayed in the edit mode, it

I'm sure it can be done, I haven't been able to find the right article yet.
I want to be able to filter the records that the datagrid displays, but
still have an editable datagrid. That is, I only want records from the
table where "State= 'CA'" are to be displayed, but where the user can still
edit/add/delete records.
The only examples I have found utilizes DataViews, which apparently are not
editable. Can someone point me to the...

Hello,
I am developing with VS.Net 2003 on the asp 1.1 platform.
I am a few days new to using a datagrid. I found a nice tutorial and had no
problems using an editable datagrid with textboxes and an additional
buttoncolumn where I used a delete button to delete a specific row.
Once I had finished that, I trnsformed the grid tso it will display a
dropdownlist indtead of a textbox. After much grappling, I pretty much have

Hi
I want to display a datagrid summary of a datatable.
The grid will not show all the fields, but when the user selects a row, I
want the other controls (text boxes) to also bind to the same row that is
selected in the grid. However, the controls will bind to ALL of the fields,
where the grid will only show some of them.
I want to be able to edit the data using the text boxes, and then update.
I also want to be able to add data using...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
