We have an application that is running under Citrix. The application
files are located on a shared network drive and the app is launched via
UNC. The app contains WinForms that are called from Excel and provide
database connectivity.
Every so often, we're getting an error "External component has thrown
an error" when they try to instantiate a form. I do not have the
InnerException in the MessageBox prompts, but in another unhandled...

1) We did an xcopy of our latest production build to our windows 2003 prod
server and started getting the exception below. Recycling the application on
the webserver seemed to have fixed the problem. Any ideas on why we got this
error?
Message: System.Web.HttpException: External component has thrown an
exception. ---> System.Web.HttpCompileException: External component has

What does this mean:
External component has thrown an exception.
My program crashes after it leaves a subroutine.
What I see during debugging is
when I press F11 at the End Sub statement

Hi All:
Does somebody know why everytime when we update our website, if there is
DLLs involved(we are running VS 2003, .net Framework 1.1, the DLLs is for
project or referenced external DLLs, exp: myProject.dll and
UrlRewriterForMyProject.dll), it always throw around 100 of following error:

This seems like it could be an asp.net bug. I am getting the following
exception when I add OnSortCommand attribute to a datagrid. I have
deleted the temp directories, rebooted etc and I have isolated it to
the OnSortCommands presence. When I use a code behind it doesn't fire
any events on the back end and the global error handler grabs it. I
put together a very simple example to illustrate the problem below. If
anyone has an idea of...

There seems to be an issue with .NET 3.5/Visual Studio 2008 (Team System).
After convincing my company to create our latest project in .NET 3.5, this
is kind of reflecting bad on me.
Problem:
Solution will NOT compile. Error is simply: "External component has thrown
an exception". NO other details.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
