Hello Everyone,
I am hoping someone could help me out with this.I am using Visual
Studio .NET 2003 to create a web application on a remote IIS 5.0
server using the File Share web access method.The problem is I get the
following two errors everytime I try to create the application:
Error 1:
The web was created successfully, but an error occured trying to
configure the application root of this web.Web projects may not

I noticed there is some .net services on my winxp. One or two mention the
CLR. Does that mean that my .net apps/services wont run before those
services start?
I need to run my service as early on as possible, it doesnt even need to be
a service if there is a way to run .net apps before that, anyone knows what

I've been days with that. I'm trying to work with web services sending and
returning objects, and the web service must store some objects.
- My first try (the most obvious in my opinion) was to use a class contained
in a extern dll so the web service and the application can use it and send
or return via web services: public customObject myWebMethod(customObject
obj); . I saw that web services can't deal with this cause the WS creates...

Hi all,
I created a Minimal Windows Service Program in Visual Studio.NET VC# using
the Wizard...i just added the MessageBox Display in OnStart() function and my
service is installed properly...but when i started the Service it display
that "Local Service started and stopped , Serivces should have Log Support
and Alerts Isssued"..
what is this error??...am running Windows XP Home Edition,

Here is what I would like to do, any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I have a forms authenticated web page that accepts user credentials, these
credentials are then looked up in a SQL DB, from these credentials we can
tell if the the user is an employee or customer. If the user is a customer
they are redirected to an ecommerce site, whereas if the user is an employee
then I would like to somehow allow the user to connect...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
