Hi,
the application I am writing has a MainMenu and a DataGrid
(UltraGrid).
Now I have to edit the text of each cell in this grid. So far so good.
All works fine in editmode but if I press a key which is also a
shortcut it doesn´t work and the menuitem-clickevent will be
performed.

If an item is added in a grid, then the grid scrolls automatically either to
bring the selected or the last entered item in focus.
Is there a way to disable this scrolling.
Means, If I am looking at item number 500 and the item number 100 is
selected and an item is added at the top. Then grid doesnt scroll anywhere
and item number 500 keeps in view.
Is it possible ?

I've successfully implemented AutoScroll capability with one panel and it
works great. But with another panel, when AutoScroll is turned on, an
annoying & unnecessary horizational scrollbar appears.
I'd like to disable it but don't know how. I understand there to be an
"HScroll" property but it's protected and I don't know how to get at it.
Any ideas?

Hi,
First, happy new year 2004 :-)
I have a datagrid that displays 10 rows.
I would like when I add new rows the datagrid automatically scrolls showing
the 10 last rows.
Currently, the new rows are added but I have to use the scroll bar to see
them.
Thanks for your suggestions.

I thought the only thing I had to do to disable column sorting in
VB.NET was to set datagrid.AllowSorting = False. Unfortunately this
has never worked for me. I discovered another set of code that seems
to work for 99% of the cases where I need to disable datagrid column
sorting:
Private Sub datagrid_MouseDown(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As
System.Windows.Forms.MouseEventArgs) Handles datagrid.MouseDown
Dim pt As New Point(e.X,...

I have added an auto scroll feature to my DataGrid control like this:
private void DoAutoScroll()
{
DataView dv = m_DataGrid.DataSource as DataView;
DataGridCell cell = m_DataGrid.CurrentCell;
cell.RowNumber = dv.Count;
m_DataGrid.CurrentCell = cell;
}
But this the last line of this code is putting the focus on the current

Hello,
I have a problem with getting an autoscrollbar to end up where I want it.
Things to know about the prob:
I have an imagebox inside of a Panel for (inheritance of) autoscroll capabilities. The imagebox is named panel2 for my own conventions and the panel will be named panel1
Panel2 (the imagebox) is set to fit to the size of Panel1 (the Panel). All of this works great...
I have broken up an extremely large image (width wise, not mem...

Hello all,
I can usually find solutions to my .NET problems by searching these
groups, but I'm stumped on this one. I have a datagrid in VB.NET (2.0
framework). I want to disable sorting on the first column in the grid
only. I havent found a way to reliably do this yet.
I tried putting the following code in the datagrid's mouse down event
Dim hti As DataGrid.HitTestInfo

I have a user control that needs to allow vertical scrolling but not
horizontal scrolling. In the user control's resize event, I need to
adjust the size of all the children controls. For this to work
correctly, I need the AutoScroll to not enable the horizontal
scrollbar.
After researching MSDN, I found the HScroll which can be used to
disable horizontal scrolling when the AutoScroll mode is enabled.
However, when I disable HScroll,...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
