Getting a list of available Oracle Servers in Domain

Hi,

How can I get a list of all Oracle Servers in my network? It isn't possible
by calling NetServerEnum, the matching ServerType does not exist.

Any idea?

If you use the TNSNAMES.ORA file in each client
("C:\Oracle\Ora XX\Network\Admi n", you could parse it.

We have a few developers that use Oracle 9i (9.2.0.4.0) on their personal workstations for testing purposes. Recently, weve made the decision to upgrade them to WinXP so that they are able to use some other functionalities of the OS, but we are running into a totally odd problem with Oracle. It seems that, Installing Oracle runs just fine, and our ant scripts to build the database work well...but when we reboot the computer, the database...

One of my friends, Scott, is a consultant who doesn't currently have newsgroup access so I am asking these questions for him. I'll be telling him how to monitor the answers via Google Newsgroup searches. Scott has heard a lot of hype about DB2 and Oracle and is trying to understand the pros and cons of each product. I'm quite familiar with DB2 but have never used Oracle so I can't make any meaningful comparisons for him. He does not have...

No, I'm trying to get teh postgresql groups which are already ON usenet to follow proper usenet guidelines. In order to be under the comp.* hierarchy the server MUST go through RFD and CFV. Otherwise it is a ROGUE group!

Hi all, I am trying to get a list of all the available sql servers and then populate them in a combo box. Anyone know how I can pull in a list of available database servers on my computer (which I will then use to populate a combo box)? Even just the namespace to use would be a start, though more info than that would be a lot more helpful. Filling the combo box is something I think I can figure out. Just need to know how to search for the servers. The better option is how I could access these common forms used to

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
