Hi all,
Needless to say that I am new to the forum. Am thinking about buying a
pocket pc, hp iPaq 6315 to be exact. Question is can I install php and a
database like mySQL on it, to practice and learn?

I recently started development in Vb.net. I am about to finish a product in
VB.net Database Applicatio, Sql Server as Backend.
I read little about wireless technology and PDAs.
Is it true that one can access VB.net forms/applications running on Server,
using PDAs ?
If so please tell me where to start for this ? what is the infrastructure
investment for such projects ? What are running cost in terms of hardware
and software ?...

I try to debug a simple C# application on a PDA iPAQ 5550.
When I have started the application on the PDA that is
connected through ActiveSync with my Desktop and reach a
breakpoint, then a message box pops up telling me that the
connection is interrupted.
But the conncetion isn't really interrupted, although the
message box tells me that.
The application on the PDA is no longer running after that
has happened.

I'm trying to upload a large binary file from an iPAQ, but am getting
out-of-memory exceptions when I try to convert the byte array containing the
data to a string in order to include it in the StringBuilder object which
represents the http (multipart/form-data mimetype) request. The code I'm
using to read and convert the data is below, and the exception occurs in
ascii.GetString. The file is about 9mb, and I've got plenty of free memory...

and events, my pc's internet explorer show it correctly , but my ipaq
internet explorer doesn't

I developed an application with Visual Basic .NET. When I deploy it on an
iPaq H3800, it works correctly.
But when I want to deploy it on an iPaq H5550, I get an error: "The CPU
identified by '83951616' does not exist for the connected platform. Please
ensure that the device is a member of the Pocket PC platform."
I don't know what to do. I need an help to continue working with the iPaq
H5550.

Trying to sync my HP Ipaq 6515 with Works Suite 2005. It only loads half of
my contacts then stops. I get the L's but the rest of them are not there. It
keeps showing 80 unresolved issues on Actisync and keeps going in a circle
trying to resolve the itmes but they never show up? Are any of the newer
versions of Works more compatable with an Ipaq 6515?
