I want a text editor inside a form's textarea,
So I would see html markup and html entities - just like a text editor.
I also would want to be able to edit it all just like a text editor -
this is done in PHPMyadmin for example...is there an easy way to do this?
In a way i'm asking the browser to suspend rendering markup.

I'm new to HTML and want to learn the basics by learning to code by hand
(with the assistance of an HTML editor to eliminate repetitive tasks).
Can anyone recommend a good, basic HTML editor that's a step beyond
Notepad (not a WYSIWYG tool). Thanks.

at work we switched to UTF-16 encoding and now when I open html files in
HomeSite the code is all messed up, and if I turn on "enable non-ANSI
file encoding" code looks fine when I open files but I get this error
when I try to save them..
"The character set defined in your document does not match the
encoding format you selected in the Save As Dialog" (even though I
don't do Save As, just save..) and sometimes doesn't let me save them...

Not one to give up I started to do another layout using Dreamweaver 8
and what it renders as I do the layout is not the same as what Firefox
and Safari displays when it renders the page. So, is there any CSS
editor for the Mac that will display the page correctly as I the
develop the CSS styles? I read about Stylemaster but did not try it
yet.
thanks,
charlie

Hi.
Does anybody know whether html rendering is available on page level?
I know the xhtmlConformance setting in the web.config - but I'd like
such a configurability on page level because I have just 1 page that has
to render in html mode.

So I thought okay I'll try another editor, lo and behold, I cannot run the code there either because this editor does not like me adding #!/bin/sh,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
