Thread was being aborted error message when I use Response.Redire ct in ASP.net

Hi all

I have a page where I am trying to do a Response.Redire ct and I get the next
error message: 'Thread was being aborted'

How can I solve this problem?

Thanks in advance

It is like this by design, when you use Response.Redire ct it calls the
Response.End method which raises a ThreadAbortExce ption when finished
processing the current response.

Change Response.Redire ct(<URL>) to Response.Redire ct(<URL>, false)

Hi,

I assume your Response.Redire ct is within a 'try' block. If you take it
out of this then you will no longer get the error.

Hi,

Sounds like your Response.Redire ct statement is within a 'try' block.

If you take this statement out of the 'try' block, you will no longer
get the error.

Hi,

Is your Response.Redire ct statement with a try/catch block?

If so, take it out of the try/catch block and the error should
disappear...

I've researched this a bit and see that this error is supposed to happen in response.redirect, but it's not in a Try Catch statement for me so I don't know why it won't perform the redirect When the button is clicked the page is simply reloaded with a white screen,...

I have an ASP.Net application that sends a NetworkStream to a .Net Service, which has a TcpListener listening on a port for the ASP.Net client. When it receives a request it creates a new thread with the AddressOf a class that runs a long data intensive process that can take between 1-15 minutes and results in the creation of a uniquely named file. Meanwhile, I want my ASP.Net application to sit and wait until the file appears at a...

I have been googling and cannot seem to find the answer I seek so I turn to the group. I have an application where I have been receiving 'Thread was being aborted' error ocasionally. In production I have received it at least 3 times in 45 days. It is sporadic. After some searching, I can rule out the most likely suspects. It is NOT happening because of a Reponse.Redirect, which seems to be the most common in the posts I have seen. I...

Howdy, I have an error mod in my app that emails me whenever there is an error. I use try..catch to capture the error. It works great, I love it, except for this one minor issue. Whenever there is a script that processes some data then issues a response.redirect() I get "Thread was being aborted" emailed to me. Below is an example of a script of where the error is occuring. It doesn't affect the end user at all, but I just keep getting...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
