turnaround for DDE (Dynamic data Exchange)

I have read that "With the introduction of Visual Basic .NET\C#, DDE is no
longer supported". Whats the turn around for DDE in dotnet.

How could I achieve the dynamic data transfer between the DDE server and
Client ?

Thanks in advance

I've been doing some minor stuff with an Access Database that creates an email, or a calendar item etc. for a couple of years now. I have had no problem using the MAPI code and haven't had any reason to be concerned about what I was doing. I was looking into direcly linking somebody's sent item folder with my database but I wanted to see if I could pull in the attachment with the table or at the least, create a link to the file on my...

Hello all! Perhaps the most important feature of dynamic polymorphism is ability to handle heterogeneous collections of objects. ("C++ Templates: The Complete Guide" by David Vandevoorde and Nicolai M. Josuttis. Chapter 14.) How to implement analogue of this technique via static polymorphism? Perhaps there is special design pattern for this purpose...

Hi All We are having a VB application on SQL. But we need to collect information from persons who will be offline to verify data and insert new data. Generally they will be entering the data in Excel spread sheets which can be uploaded to the database using the application after some validations. But rather than Excel I was looking at Infopath with Access as the database, to create validation rules and collect data offline that can be...

I need my data generating C program on computer #1 to export small amounts of data (one - 40 byte data structure) periodically (once per minute) to a C program on computer #2. I am considering having computer #1 to create two duplicate data files sequentially. (file_1.dat & file_2.dat). Then, Computer #2 tries to open file_2.dat and upon failure it opens file_1.dat.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
