Compile time text import

Hi,

I'm looking for something to read a text file into a string at compile
time. I swear I've seen something along these lines.

TIA,
Alex

It seems to me like you need an embedded resurce. Add the file to the
solution and set it's build action to embedded resource.

I've trolled the lists, FAQs, and Net as a whole, but can't find anything definitive to answer this. We're looking for real-time graph capability (bar, line, etc), so that we can display telemetry from a robot system. There are a bunch of packages out there, but many seem to provide only static graphs (e.g. for scientific, financial data, etc). Does anyone currently display real-time telemetry using Python? Can anyone provide any...

Python's InteractiveInterpreter uses the built-in compile function. According to the ref. manual, it doesn't seem to concern about the encoding of the source string. When I hand in an unicode object, it is encoded in utf-8 automatically. It can be a problem when I'm building an interactive environment using "compile", with a different encoding from utf-8. IDLE itself has the same problem. ( '<a string with non-ascii-encoding>' is...

Hello All, Excellent info here Thanks! I am very new to using access in general and I am on a learning curve. I'm trying to import an excel workbook (with worksheets) into an access db via a macro. (I'll get to using VB later on). What I would like to do is import a single workbook w/three seperate worksheets into three seperate access tables AND truncate the time stamp that is used in the excell sheet via a macro.

A97 aborts creation of MDE reporting that there's a compile error in one form. Sure enough, if I remove the form from the source database and attempt to compile the MDE, it succeeds. But when I open the source MDB file and the form's class module, click Debug, Compile Loaded Modules - no compile time error is reported. What is the MDE doing to find a compile time error that Debug/Compile Loaded Modules is not? If you've encountered...

Hello (and sorry for my English), I downloaded the VideoCapture module on the http://videocapture.sourceforge.net/ site. I tested it with a webcam and that functions. Now I want to compile his file .cpp (vidcap.cpp). Thereafter, the idea is to be able to modify the code to include my own modifications.

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
