I used a bit of JS on a page that is fairly long and didn't like the
way that
<A HREF='#' ONCLICK=\"...
refreshed the page to the top. Removing the HREF (<A ONCLICK=\"...)
solved my "problem" however the cursor no longer changes into the
little hand when rolling over the link. Can I have both? No HREF and
the little hand?

Good morning,
I have a form containing a text-area,
I'd like to know if it exists a function that, when I activate an event,
returns the position of the cursor in the text-area.
For example, I write ten words in the text-area,
then I move the cursor at the beginning of the second word
and activate the event (for example, click on a button):
is there a way to know that the cursor is at the beginning of the second
word?

Hi
I want the position of the cursor in the text box to follow the mouse
pointer as the mouse it moved across the text box when a button is
pressed down (it will be a part of a dragdrop procedure).
Does anyone know who to do this? I am completley stumped!
Thanks

Hi all, I'm building a text file from a database table using the ASP
Write Method and would like to position the cursor in a specific
column position before writing the fields. As I loop through and write
the fields into strings of rows, I want to be able to put field1 in
row1/column position1, field2 in row1/column position10,.....etc.
I've included the basic code to write a string of text. I understand
the process of how to write the...

I'm trying to learn C. I have a fairly extensive background with C-based
scripting languages (Python,Tcl, others), so a great deal of C is
proving easy to pick up (control structures, functions, etc.). However,
what is *really* tripping me up is the entire process of identifying and
declaring variables at the beginning of your program, i.e.:
short int short_max = SHRT_MAX;
int integer_min = INT_MIN;
double double_max = DBL_MAX;

Hi,
This is nag.
I have a problem with infragistics7.1 UltraTextEditor control.
I am using C# code in windows form.
I have UltraTextEditor control(With multi line enabled) in my Windows Form. A user can drag and drop a text(Usually from a tree node its name would be appended on drag and drop) in this control. Here user can put cursor any where inside this texteditor control and he can drag and drop text into it.
Eg: If text editor...

I would like to create arrow keys. If the user messed up the inputted text, he can move the blinking cursor left one space at a time between inputted characters to add a letter. Then a button to move the blinking cursor back to the end of the inputted text.
Private Sub Left Arrow_Click()
If Text1.SelStart Then Text1.SelStart = Text1.SelStart - 1

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
