..NET doesn't provide this natively. If you're referring to having the user
dial a connection, you might want to look into the ras32 API and see if they
have anything that helps.

Yes,

I've already looked there. But I can't find what I'm looking for....
I want to know, when another application or the user tries to dial out and
which number.
Before the connection gets established

According to HTTP/1.1 specs, a client should only have two connections open to the host at a time (which can be changed by browser users, of course). When using xmlHttpRequest connections, is there any way to detect that the request is queued? I did some tests (see "Queued Requests" at http://www.ajaxtoolbox.com/request/examples.php ) and it looks like readyState 1 is fired immediately after the request is made, even though it's not...

Hello, I'm currently trying to implement a simulation program with Kamaelia and need a reliable TCP connection to a data server. From Twisted, I know that a method is called if the connection fails by whatever reason. I tried to get the same results with Kamaelia's TCPClient component. If I start up the component and try to connect to a closed TCP port it fails and sends a message out of the signal box, that's okay.

I have a service and a client forms app - I want to be able to have the service send data back to the client app intermittently, and I've established a connection between the two using tcpclient. What I can't see is any sort of event I can use that will be triggered when data is received at the client. Is there such a thing? Or should I create a separate "listening" thread that polls the connection for data and then triggers whatever I...

I have 4 schemas for different projects. So, when the connection is established to the new schema, the existing schema's connection need to be closed. Similarly, whenever, the connection is established with the one schema, the connection with other 3 schema's need to be closed. The basic idea is, at a time, the connection should be established with only one schema. What i need to do? Regards, Selva

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
