DataSet.ReadXml - where the schema name is?

RA
Hi

I have an xml schema and I have created a dataset from that schema.
I have a web service that recieve info and sends back an xml information.
I send back the xml using SchemaDataset.W riteXml (...)
A consumer of the web service then call a different method of the web
service which takes an xml string as an input parameter.
I need to load this xml string into the Schemadataset. I do that using the
following:

SchemaDataset.R eadXml (...)

My question is:

I assume that the dataset validated the xml string agianst its schema - well
then where does the dataset gets the schema from?
Here is the info that the web service method gets

<MyDatasetSchem a xmlns=http://www.myweb.com/schema/MyDatasetSchema .xsd>
<StoreList>
<StoreId>5</StoreId>
</StoreList>
</MyDatasetSchema >

Thanks

Hi
if there is no schema then ofcurse no validation will take place .if you
need to inforce that however , you can use the overlaod of the readXMl
method with the input paramter " missing schema action" set it to
MissingSchemaAc tion.InferSchem a" this way if no schema is present , it will
be created , infered , according to the structure of your file .
hope this helps

I'm having trouble loading some xml data into a dataset via the ReadXML call. I'm loading into the dataset an xml schema prior to the ReadXML call. I see that there IS in fact, 3 records that should be created in the dataset with the provided xml. However, after the ReadXML statement there are no rows in the DataSet.Tables ? IS there something I'm missing? I can assure you that the schema is correct, since it was originally created with...

How does one go about getting the information from an .xsd file into a WSDL document? I have a web service that creates a simple object that IBM Websphere can see and use. Great. However, when I expose a DataSet, Websphere cant use the WSDL document, as it doesnt describe the data elments in the dataset. Im done a lot of readying and looking at posts, and typed datasets sounds like they might be the answer, but I cant figure out how to...

I'm attempting to use ReadXml. It's working in that I end up with some data in the DataSet. But I'm not able to deal with it effectively after that. The XML file is properly formatted in that it was created with WriteXML, so it contains the name of the table (I've inspected it to be sure). But after calling ReadXml the DataSet does not contain a table with the specified name. In fact, Tables does not contain a table corresponding to...

Hi, Ive had a bit of a look around for other people with this problem and cant find anything that solves it in my case, so I'm afraid im going to have to bother you all with a post of my own. Essentially, I am trying to read in an xml schema and then an xml document into a dataset using ReadXmlSchema and then ReadXml. When i do this, i end up with a table in the dataset (which i assume is created when i read the schema), but no rows...

I'm trying to validate input from an xml source to a dataset in dotnet2.0. As far as I can see, type errors correctly cause an exception, but values that are the correct type but do not satisify xsd:restriction conditions are ingested without a murmur. Is this a bug or a feature? Very frustrating. Evidence: 1) XML data <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>

I am wanting to populate several treeviews, one for the <TRs> group and one for the <TGsgroup. Is there a simplier way to populate the Treeview than the one I did below? It seems difficult to get to the correct DataSet values. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?> <TestSample> <TRs> <TR1>

This would better be described by 'serialization' than 'interop', but I didn't find a newsgroup that seems closer on topic. The problem in a few words: I save data with DataSet.WriteXML, but I get different data back when I read it later with DataSet.ReadXml. More detail:

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
