I sent this post out a couple weeks ago and received no response, so I'll try
again...
I'd like to create a windows MDI in VS 2005 C# that will allow child windows
to have the same options and behave similarly to those within the Visual
Studio 2005 development environment.
1. In VS, if you right-click on any window, you can select between
"Floating", "Dockable", "Tabbed Document", "Auto Hide", and "Hide". How can
I get my child forms...

HI,
Is it possible to create a floating/dockable form in C# winforms.
Something similar to Properties/Solution Explorer window in Visual
Studio.net or Search/Index window in MSDN.
Any help or input is appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Can we create our own Dockable windows (having our own controls) in excel
(Windows 2003) like Getting started, The dockable window that appears when
we click on File -> New.
Please tell me the whether it is possible or not. If so what are the classes
that I need to use and what are the problems that may face if I use the same
code on old versions of excel.

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone could point me to info on the best way to create a
dockable window. I have seen plenty of posts about dockable controls that
run within windows but I want the actual main window to dock, probably to
the taskbar.
I'd like it smart enough to adjust position if the taskbar height is
increased or decerased.

Has any one gotten a "stay-in-view" floating div to work in ASP.NET 2.0?
For those that don't know, the classic way is this (for IE anyway):
(window.onscroll...)
document.all.Toolbar.style.pixelTop = document.body.scrollTop;
But, this doesn't seem to work in any way with ASP.NET 2.0. The problem
seems to lay in ASP.NET 2.0's default doctype...
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"...

I have an application that is not an mdi but rather made up of multiple
sdi forms.
I am trying to keep a single set of menus and toobars that change
contents depending on the form that has focus.
The user has the option to float the dockable windows. When the
floating window has focus and they attempt to use the menus or toolbars
the focus moves back to the main window and the menu's switch to
whichever form got focus.

I want to be able to produce a floating dockable toolbar like in the visual
basic 2005 interface.
I know how to get a toolbar to dock to the sides of a form, but there are
instances where I want to have the toolbar floating in the middle of the
form.
Does anyone know how this can be achieved please.
Thanks in advance for newsgroup feedback.

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
