"So you've got the Windows API, you've got VB, and now you've got .NET,

We're using several sets of third party toolbox controls and each of these
append licensing information to a licences.licx file when they're dropped
onto a form.
Our solution currently has 25 different projects. Different subsets of the
third party controls are used by each project. Some of the projects are
stand alone executable modules,...

It seems that everytime I open a form that has 3rd party controls on it,
vs 2005 wants to check out licenses.licx from the source repository.

I have problems making a c++ clr console app accepting the license.
If I create a c++ windows forms project and add the license.licx file to the
project everything works fine. If I do the same with a c++ clr console app I
get invalid license exception when I try to run the console app. An
app.exe.license is created in both cases. Anyone any...

Our dev build machine has legal licenses of the components we use however
our developers machines don't so it presents a problem with the project
file. We store our files in cvs so prior to a build the buildmaster needs to
manually go out and include the license file into the project and not check
this file back into cvs because it'll break...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it. ...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then...

I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
