Hi,
I'm having trouble setting up a config file based trace switch & listener. I added an application config file to my console based C# program using the "Add New Application Config File" button from solution explorer. My config file is composed of the following, which is almost a verbatum cut & paste from MSDN help:

Hi all,
How can I save trace output to the text file in app's dir. In addition, I
need to save debug info from Session_End event in global.asax.
The code below saves file only in Windows\System32 dir.
TextWriterTraceListener tracer = new
TextWriterTraceListener("traceout.txt");
Trace.Listeners.Add(tracer);
Trace.WriteLine("Exception"+ex.Message);

I am trying to build a generic system for tracking unhandled errors which
will place such errors into a log file and the event log. The code is listed
below. When I try to run this code below, I get the error message "The source
was not found, but some or all event logs could not be searched."
The error message occurs when I run the first Trace.WriteLine. Any help you
can offer would be fantastic.

When Tracing in ASP.NET, the IIS process (on IIs5.1) is locking on the Trace
file, and I can't read the trace file without restarting the IIS:

At present I'm generating a log file during program execution by creating a
console log trace and sending it to an external file thus:
Debug.Listeners.Add(New TextWriterTraceListener(Console.Out))
Debug.Listeners.Add(New TextWriterTraceListener(Application.UserAppDataPath
+ "\log.txt", "log file"))
Now a good feature here is that if "log.txt" already exists and is in use

Hi all,
I'm trying to use the Trace class to log messages to a simple text file.
I need to be able to provide a custom filename to be used. I've created
a TextWriterTraceListener and added it to the Trace.Listeners
collections but nothing ever seems to get written to the file.
The file does get created, but calling the Write methods doesn't seem to
do anything.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
