error handling while calling web service

How can I handle an error while I calling web service asynchronously?

Yes, if you call the web service asynchronously using BeginInvoke and
the web service throws an exception, you'll see the exception thrown
from EndInvoke.

My php logs are coming up empty. I have done all I can think of, and all that made sense to me. Can someone take a look at my php.ini please and tell me what you think may be the problem. I double-checked the path to my error log. It is in /var/www/logs/php_error_log Thanks. :) -Wayne Stevenson

I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to generate standard error handlers that "know" if the calling code has an error handler in effect (On Error Goto <label> or On Error Resume Next) before deciding how to respond. Does anyone know if this is possible.

I use code extensively; I probably overuse it. But I've been using error trapping very sparingly, and now I've been trapped by that. A form that works for me on the system I'm using, apparently runs into problems on the system where it will actually be used, and since I used so little error-trapping it dies very ungracefully. I will of course try to fix whatever is causing the error and add error-trapping to the functions where the...

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi there! I'm doing some homework (almost finished), but now i'm reconsidering a design decission I made at the beginning. This is about error handling in functions. I have my functions returning 0 if OK, and an "enum" error indicating the type of error. A typical pseudo-code is like:

I have an ASP.NET (VB.NET) application that calls all VB6 COM DLL via Interop. The DLL uses functionality contained in a Custom OCX Control (Also VB6) that in turn contains a standard TreeView control. The Custom OCX is not used for visual purposes, but has some functionality that we require (hence hosting an OCX in a DLL). Everything worked fine until we installed the latest service pack for each respective windows operating system:...

Hello, I am looking for guidance on best practices to incorporate effective and complete error handling in an application written in VB.NET. If I have the following function in a class module (note that this class module represents the business layer of code NOT the gui layer): Public Function Test(ByVal Parm1 As Integer, ByVal Parm2 As Integer) As SqlDataReader ' Declare the SQL data layer class Dim oSQL As New...

Hi guys, Basically i have been developing in dotnet for a couple of years but ive had a few issues in regards to error handling. For example - I have a class that i call passing in a stored procedure and connection string as a path. My method returns a dataset. In my SP i have an output parameter which tells me whether the SP select is successful or not. If i get a error code passed back then i throw an exception this then returns...

All: I have a Win32 service that takes about 30 seconds to shutdown (give or take a few seconds). I shut the service down via the 'Services' console on Windows Server 2003. When the service shuts down in under 30 seconds, everything is fine. However if the service takes over 30 seconds to shut down, I get the following error in the System Event Log: "Timeout (30000 milliseconds) waiting for a transaction response from the XYZ...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
