I've never done database code in C#. :(
I've connected a dataform to a database and can reference all the items in
the table. I want to filter the elements though based upon the value of a
field. The field is call CategoryType of type unsignedByte. The value I
wish to filter on it '19'. Where, within the properties of CategoryType, do
I set the filter?
I tried several things in "Expression" but filtering still doesn't occur.
How...

I built a dataform using the VB.net wizard. I have two
tables, with one relation, Parent to Child, linked on one
common key. The dataform loads the data fine, and when I
click on the Add button, it appears to add a record (the
record count goes up) but unlike single table dataforms,
the form does not automatically move to the new record.
In fact, though the record count increases by one (and
you even get an error saying the primary key...

Has anyone noticed that the VS Dataform wizard doesn't gen correctly
DISPLAYED results if you have an IDENTITY key defined for your table
(normal stuff, IMHO)? If your dataset is empty the first "Add" will display
TWO records on the resulting form. This is because they are creating a
'temporary' dataset with the changes; i.e., new record in this case, and
then they MERGE it into the existing dataset, which has a new row defined by
the...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...
