Hello I'm writting an apllication and i like to display and offscreen image.
However my code doesn't seem to work.
It compiles and runs properly but What i want is to associate the button of
the menu to switch an image (actually to add rectangels offscreen and bring
it to the front).
The following codes runs properly. You just need to create a file
images.properties and put some images in a folder called images.
By the way this is...

A description of the problem:
1) Go to a page with various settings and a timeout (forces re-login
if over 10 minutes)
2) Before the timeout, make some changes to settings.
3) Press a "reset to defaults" button that uses a confirmation box to
let the user know what is about to be reset (lists items).
4) Walk away while the confirm box is displayed and come back after
the page timeout.
5) My screen now has the page, a confirm popup on top...

Hey, all;
Apparently, I'm missing the concept. I'm writing a web app in perl
to manage nagios configuration files. One of the things I'd like to
do is to confirm an update via a popup window prior to writing out
changes.
My first whack at that goal isn't working out too well. I have the
following javascript in one of the pages:

Hello,
I've developed a Microsoft Access 2000 database. In a lot of events
Docmd.RunSQL is used. In my database options the 'Confirm' options are
turned off, so I don't have to confirm action queries. The SQL statements
are executed behind the scenes this way.
But When I run the same database with a runtime version of Microsoft Access
2000, I have to confirm the actionqueries that are executed with
Docmd.RUnSQL again. For each SQL...

approaching. Please do help me..
This is a webapplication with a usercontrol which has some buttons for
adding, deleting and updating to a database. When the user clicks the "Add"

C# WinForm Project, VS2005:
I'm writing code in CAB Module. I need to be able to identify the screen
location of the Shell for the project at runtime. I don't have direct access
to the Shell, so myShell.Location doesn't seem like an option. I've tried
using reflection (GetEntryAssembly()), but I'm not coming up with the right
combination of calls to get the screen location (note that the assembly
location, which is a path to the...

Double clicking the title bar to toggle a form between full screen
size and the previous size is a great feature.
Can someone please explain how to programmatically double click the
title bar?
The form I am working with does not show any of the sizing, minimize,
or close buttons in the title bar. This clean appearance is preferred
for this specific application ... so hopefully the solution is
specific to the title bar only and not the...

Most computers default to English, but sometimes we require a different language, especially when relocating. Forgot to request a specific language before your computer shipped? No problem! You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it.
First, let's disable language synchronization. With a Microsoft account, language settings sync across devices. To prevent any complications,...

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
This is as boiled down as I can make it.
Here is my compilation command:
g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp
Here is the code in...

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
