I am having some trouble with a windows service I am trying to install. It
builds just fine, but when I try to install it using an MSI created from a
..NET setup project, I get this error:
Exception occurred while initializing the installation:
System.IO.FileNotFoundException: File or assembly name savetrains.exe, or

Running the code below, I get the error
Cannot start service from the command line opr debugger. A Windows
Service must first be installed (using installutil.exe) and then started
with the ServerExplorer.....
But the text log from my install shows this:

I created a simple windows service. However when I built it again a couple
of days later I could no longer install the service. The InstallUtil.exe
cannot UNINSTALL the service because "The specified service does not exist
as an installed service"
However InstallUtil.exe cannot INSTALL the service because "The specified
service already exists."
Are there some registry entries I have to remove?

I've been trying to bring up an IMP webmail server for...oh, several
days now. I've never had so much trouble bringing up any machine, and
I've beaten my forehead flat against it. Either I've been at it too
long, or I've been at it too long and there's a bug here somewhere.

We've got a wierd failure happening on just one machine. One part of our
product uses a 3rd party search implementation (dtSearch). DtSearch has a
native core (dten600.dll), late-bound, and a managed wrapper
(dtSearchNetApi2.dll).

I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
