Hi,
I have a large project I wrote in 2003 version 7.1.3088. The project
has 128 .cs files with over 1000 References. When I moved a small utility
over I had to manually remove then reinstall each Reference for each file.
Is there any automated help for coverting 2003 References to 2005
References?

There is only the built in conversion utility. This might change when 2005
is fully released, but as of yet, all I have seen and heard is about the
built in conversion utility.
You may want to post your question to the
microsoft.priva te.whidbey.csha rp.ide group on privatenews.mic rosoft.com and
see if anyone has written a custom solution for this.

What do I need to do to get an account at privatenews.mic rosoft.com? Is it
a news server that requires a logon?

Like the title says, my installation of VC# 2005 Beta 2 doesn't seem to have
a Setup kind of project available. Actually, except for the Screensaver
Starter Kit, it has only four types: Windows app., Console app., Library and
Empty project. I have the .Net Framework SDK 2.0 installed (of course, also
the Framework) but no use.

My company is just starting development of a new project using VB.NET.
The question I have is, since the release of VS 2005 and the 2.0 Framework
comming out soon, should we start developing with the Beta version? Or
should we stick to 2003 & the 1.1 framework. 2005 will be released before
we are even halfway done with the project, and I am anxious to take
advantage of some of the new features.

I open the VB6 project in Visual Studio 2005 (not the BETA version)
which starts the conversion wizard. It goes through the whole
conversion process, then comes up with the error:
Unable to read the project file 'MyProject.vbproj'. The project file
"C:\NET Projects\MyProject\MyProject.vbproj" was not found.
If I go to the project folder, I find the file
