I have a datagrid that contains a dropdown list that is part of an
EditItemTemplate. I need to run some code when the dropdown list builds
in order to preselect an item in the list. Preselecting the item is not
the problem. The problem is that the dropdown object is not instantiated
at the point at which the Edit button is clicked, or at any other
obvious step in the process. In other words, when a user clicks the Edit
(EditCommand)...

Hello!
I'm trying to figure out how to do the following:
I need to show a table (perhaps using DataGrids, repeaters or others) for
each salesperson in the sales dept. But the no. of tables to be shown is to
be determined during runtime. It's possible that some salespersons have no
sales figures to begin with and therefore no table to show. Thanks in advance
and please help!

Does anyone know of a way to allow a user to click on a cell within a
datagrid and then edit the contents of that cell? Nearly all the topics
I've come across on Google appear to be for the webform version of the
control. However, I'm using a winform one. If it makes any difference,
mine is bound to an ArrayList.
I've played aound with the click event and beginedit() for quite a
while now - so if anyone could give me a tip or too I'd...

I want to build a data entry form for creating and updating info on
something.
When I'm first creating an item all the fields need to be editable. There
after some fields become readonly. Most of these fields are text based, and
I really want to have them appear as a label rather than a text box that is
read only.
I really want different behaviour for creation, edit and view. I guess I
need to write a templated data-bound control.

I have an ASP.Net page on which there are serveral static controls
(listboxes, radiobuttonlist and textboxes). These controls are used to
create criteria from which the code-behind will dynamically create 1-n
datagrids.
When the Submit button is clicked I need to save (in viewstate) the
contents of the criteria controls so that I can recreate the dynamic
DataGrid(s) in the LoadViewState (overloaded method). I need to do
this so that the...

I'm sure it can be done, I haven't been able to find the right article yet.
I want to be able to filter the records that the datagrid displays, but
still have an editable datagrid. That is, I only want records from the
table where "State= 'CA'" are to be displayed, but where the user can still
edit/add/delete records.
The only examples I have found utilizes DataViews, which apparently are not
editable. Can someone point me to the...

Hi NG !
I have already written a task about MVC and I tried to get the best
informations together.
I would like to implement the MVC pattern and it work on the way I did it.
At first i know the MVC-ipmlementation from the JAVA by using the
observer-pattern.
I used an interface IObservable (AddObserver, RemoveObserver,...). My Model
implemented this interface.

Hi! I've got some data that I want to display and edit in table-format,
just like you would in Excel.
It seems like this should be fairly straightforward, but I can't find
any controls that do what I want. The closest one I've found is a
ListView, but it will only let me edit the first column of data.
What control should I be using? My data is very simple (about 10
ArrayLists, each with 2 strings followed by 2 floats).

I want to display 'n' records for a table-driven data entry page.
The first column should be readonly and the 2nd column, a checkbox WRITABLE
(NOT READONLY).
I can't use the gridview because it creates -> checked="checked"
disabled="disabled"
What I need is more like this;
<form id="form1" runat="server">
<div>
<table>

Dear forum friends,
With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
