Why is the following code so slow? I have a listView that must refresh it's
processes data every 3 seconds. However, this sometimes goes beyond 5
seconds and crashes the application. I have tries multi-threading, also
ListView.BeginUpdate + EndUpdate(), but the code is sooo slow. Try it for
yourself:

I have an Access 2000 MDB with a SQL Server 7 back end. There is a view that
is linked to the database via ODBC and has been in place for several years
without any performance problems.
Recently I added a couple of fields to the output of the view, and it became

Hi,
I'm creating a pupup window inherited from a windows form.
At runtime I create a new instance of the of the popup.
I add +-15 linklabels to the form and then I show the form.
Now when the form has a background image it builds up slowly,
but when I set the linklabels to a transparant back color it is
increasingly slow.

I have a list view. I want to insert LinkLabels dynamically in it as
ListViewSubItems. Is it possible to do this? If yes, how should i do it. If

Given two .NET applications A and B. These two application communicate with
each other by using an object C:
A --> C <-- B
Application A has a listview. This listview can be refreshed by pressing F5
OR externally by receiving an event from C.
C will raise an event when it receives data from B.
So, B sends a message to C. And C raises an event that is "catched" by A.

Hello, I was wondering if anyone can help me. I have some code where I'm
creating linklabels during runtime using filenames that in a directory. I
created a LinkClicked event but it only launches the last file that is called
in the ClickEvent. I tried placing the Event in the FOR EACH statement but
that's not helping. If interested I'm using VB2005. How can I apply a Click
Event to each LinkLabel or each linklabel to the same ClickedEvent?...

Hi,
I need to put a very large image as background (1030px X 774px) on the
main window of my application. Also, on this window I need to add
transparent Usercontrol, Panel and Label.
Every time I need to refresh or replace a Usercontrol, the redraw is
doing very TOO slow and there some flickering... I try to activate the
double buffering but without success. Same refresh speed.

Hello folks,
I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>".
The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed.
