name space "Microsoft.Wind owsCE.Form" is not found

Hi all,
While i try to build a example c# project, i get a error message "The type or namespace name 'Microsoft' could not be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)". This error occures in "using Microsoft.Windo wCE
..Form".

I am installing .net visual studio 2003 and sp2. Do i need to get some .dll or i just need changing some setting in .net v.s 2003?? Actually, I am not sure if the lib "Microsoft.Wind owCE.Form" has installed in my computer, i just need to set assembly reference. Or i have to get this lib first!?

Hello

I think you didnt installed lib while installing vs.net

You can install again in your VS.NET CD

Good Luck!

Hi Ginee,

Are you developing a Pocket PC app?
That namespace is intended for that, if this is the case you need to add a
reference to it in your project, you do not need to install nothing more.

Just go to project/Add Reference and find there the namespace

Cheers,

I haven't come across the Microsoft.Windo wCE namespace myself -
normally you just use System.Windows. Forms. How old is your example
project? It could be that it came out before the Compact Framework was
released, and that the name has changed.

Hi Jon,

This namespace is intended to be used in the compact framework and provide
a couple of functionality not found in System.Windows. Form , in fact IIRC it
was added later, it did not exist in release 1, it provide two important
functionality, InputPanel that let you use the SIP ( before that you had to
use P/Invoke) and MessageWindow that export the hWnd property and override
the WndProc method.
Cheers,

When processing HTML-files for various purposes, I run into a strange form action definition looking like "r/sx/*-http://somehow/somescript" In particular, the Yahoo search form uses a form action attribute which looks like this. What's the meaning of the "r/sx/*-"-prefix?

Hello, I have bumped upon this problem: I do some client-side form processing with JavaScript, and for this I loop over all the forms in the document. In order to identify them, I read their "name" property (which sources from "name" HTML attribue). The problem is, that if the form contains form control named "name", it overwrites the form name property. In fact, I'm quite surprised that it's so easy to spoil any of the form object...

I need to pass a variable from a php function to a form. Does anyone have an example of code that would do this? Below is the code. I need to pass the "return value" from the php function mem_cost to the "amount" listed in the "form" <?php function mem_cost() { $w_month = strftime("%m"); if (($w_month >= "01") && ($w_month <= "06"))

How does a "sub-form", i.e. one invoked by another form, determine anything about the form which brought it into existence, i.e., I suppose, instantiated it? I wanted to so something like this ... MsgBox("called by " & Owner.Name) .... but that throws a null reference exception. Parent.Name and ParentForm.Name also throw null reference exceptions. Form1.Name works - but that's not very flexible.

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
