Hi use notifyicon
.... and catch SizeChanged event to check WindowState (Minimized),
then set ShowInTaskbar to false.
If your WindowState changes to other than Minimized then hide
NotifyIcon and set ShowInTaskbar to true.
Cheers!

Hi Martin,
Based on my understanding, you want some sample about how to minimize a
application to system tray.
You may follow the community's suggestion to use NotifyIcon class, please
refer to the below article:
"Creating a System Tray Application" http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...us/dncscol/htm
l/csharp06102002. asp

Please apply my suggestion above and let me know if it helps resolve your
problem.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation. If you have any questions or
concerns, please feel free to post it in the group. I am standing by to be
of assistance.
Best regards,

Hi,
My VC++ application does not have a titlebar (and therefore no System menu,
no minimize, no maximize
and no close button). We have a custom button for minimize and close.
When the app is in normal/maximized view, clickinng on the taskbar entry
does not minimize the
application. Normally (with apps with titlebar), the application would
minimize when you click on

hi all,
i was wondering how is it possible to add an extra box ( i think they are
called boxes: upper right corner ...) in a form that will minimize it in the
system tray?
You know some applications have a 4th one (apart from the square , bar and
X ) which contains a dot and once u click it minimizes the application to
the tray.
TIA

I am looking for some example code for minimizing a 3rd part app to the
system tray. I am working on writing a service to control VMWare and when a
user logs in, I would like to minimize the VMWare window(s) to the system
tray and hide it from the task bar (and of course un-hide the VMWare
windows should the user choose to do so from the system tray).
I have been searching but havent found anything yet. I am guessing that it

Anyone have code that creates a button that will Minimize Excel to the
system tray.
I do not need anything complicated like changing the minimize button or
the close button to a minimize to tray button. I have a Form that pops
up when excel loads, and I will add a command button called Minimize
that I just want to minimize excel to the system tray.

Overview:
Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own....
Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello
I'm a network technician in training and I need your help.
I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs.
The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols.
I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
