Looking for sample thats loads an XML file and updates some records

Hello,

I'm looking for a sample thats loads an XML file and updates some records.

Can somebody give me an example in C#?
Or do you have an URL where I can find the sample?

Thanks!

This might be a dumb question to ask. Can someone answer me with patience.. When I have a typed or un-typed dataset, the only way I can update is like below? Dim con As New SqlConnection(ConnectionString) con.Open() Dim daProductsDS As New SqlDataAdapter("Select * from ProductsDS", con) Dim oCommandBuilder As New SqlCommandBuilder(daProductsDS)

Hi All, I have some software that currently loads database tables into sorted arrays in memory to be binary searched by processes. (Long story as to why it does this..) Each process must either read the data from the in memory array or from the database itself if the table is too large to be loaded into memory. (2GB is usually the limit because the array is indexed by a 32 bit signed integer. I have never had one of these tables go over...

Greetings, After making various edits and deletes on aproximately 40,000 records in one table (on the Design Master) syncronization fails with Error 3052 - File Sharing Lock Count Exceeded. After reading the MS KB article 173006 (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;173006) I increased the locks to 100,000 on the Replica PC and I still get the error. Since the defailt value is only 9500 I would have thought that...

Task assigned is to assist in developing markup templates and rules for conversion of a group of technical manuals in MSWord from MIL-DTL-81928 to MIL-STD-3001. Am familiar with the basic concepts of XML and the 3001 DTDs, though the nuances are some time away yet. The central goal is to convert as close to the requirements of MIL-STD-3001 for the type of manual and it's context as possible with out changing technical content or...

I have been working on doing bulk updates and inserts through sqlapi++ using a bulk udpate extention library, developed, a long time ago, internally. The database is oracle. The bulk inserts/updates are done in batches of 50K. I am facing a very peculiar performance issue with regard to these bulk operations. The initial batch of bulk insert (50K records) is finished within 3 seconds; while the next similar batch for bulk insert or update...

I have a winform app (VB 2005) that allows users to export data to excel, make updates to the excel file and import the data from that Excel file and update the database. My question is: Is it best to do it this way, calling the update stored procedure for every update? Or should I be loading this data into a staging table, and if all goes well do the 'Real' Update. Or put this into a data adapter and update from that? The application...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
