Synchronizing Access databases

Hello,
Is there a fairly easy and quick way to sync 2 MS Access databases
(with the same structure, obviously) using C# ?
Going record by record is slow and cumbersome, there has to be an
alternative..

Thank you.

25 more days until the "get it free" promotion runs out for xSQL Object (you can get it from http://www.x-sql.com) Here are just some of the great features packed in the product: - Compare SQL Server objects (databases, tables, views, stored procedures, user defined data functions etc.) accross servers. - view and print dependencies; - generate color coded scripts for any object in the database or many of them at once (many configurable...

I have an Access database that I use frequently. Often, I take it to a home PC, or laptop to work on at night. The next day, I overwrite the old one with the one I have been working on. The only problem is - during this time, others may want to add records at the office. This causes an obvious data loss problem if I overwrite their edition of the database. Is there a way to synchronize the database? If someone made additions at...

I see this is a common question, however I haven't found any good answers. I receive ms-access mdb files from various clients. These mdb files have roughly the same structure, however each client tends to make some slight modifications to one or two tables. When I receive these files, I need to transport data into a standard file template. Currently I have to modify table field names and definitions manualy before I transport data...

Hi This is a repost due to no responses Here's a problem I've encountered with Access 2003 which has got me to redesign how I get the row source in a second combo box using the first combo box as a filter. In Access 2002 and earlier the row source for the second combo was "SELECT Field1, Field2 etc, FROM MyTable WHERE Field3 =

We have a number of tables in a CRM that is written in MS access that I need to be able to provide a web interface to. I can export the tables just fine using pgadmin II, but I cant' think of a clean way to import them from postgresql back to access. Synchronizing only needs to happen once a day at the most. I was also thinking of using the MS access forms with access tables that are just odbc links to the postgresql database. Does...

I have a database of address that are downloaded from the internet to excel. I have imported the data to access to create mail-outs easily, however, it is necessary for me to keep the excel worksheet- as this is my only application option when downloading the data. Some addresses have to be removed because they are returned, so I remove them from excel and access seperately. Is there a way to synchronize the database from access to the...

I'm fairly new to access, so I hope this question isn't too elementary. I'm putting together a database for my office. I want the database to be accessible to 5 or 6 users on our network and so itt may be used by more than one person at the same time. I am hoping that someone can give me an idea of some of my options in facilitating this. My instinct, from fishing around in the database options, is that it might have something to do...

Hi We have this access application - which we use to register stuff into. Most of the time we're online, and that's all right, but now we need be able to register stuff offline, and then it would be nice if we could copy the registered stuff into the main database when we get online. So basically I want to copy data from one mdb-file to another - and these two mdb's look the same in design, but have different data. I

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
