I'm trying to do invoke the mail merge functionality of MS Word from a
Python script. The situation is that I have a template Word document,
and a record that I've generated in Python, and I want to output a new
Word .doc file with the template filled in with the record I've
generated.

I have an application that will be distributed remotely. In the
Access application I am opening Word documents and mail merging. The
Word documents are linked to a tmpLetter table. In my code I write
the records to be merged into that table. The Word documents are
using a system dsn (ODBC) to connect to the data source. In my code I
simply open the Word documents after writing to the table do a mail
merge and print.

I have a Word template that is set to merge with our client database. After
I run the merge, I merge to a new document, and then save the new document.
When I reopen this saved document, it prompts Access to open and request
information from the underlying query. Since I've already merged and saved
the new document with the merged info, I don't want Word to prompt Access
anymore. How to I "sever" the connection between Word and Access?

Okay, so the deal is, I am doing a mail merge document in order to print
invoices. The field I get the amount of money is "invAmount". What I would
like to do is be able to manipulate this number to get different percentages
of that total amount on my document. For example, display 10% of that
amount. I am not too familiar with using field codes and have only used them
a couple of times in the past. I'm currently doing this with Word 2000....

I have a strange situation using Access to automate a Word mail merge. Using
Access 2000 and Word 2000, the code opens Word, opens the document in Word,
sets a table
in the calling Access application as the data source, and then performs a
merge. Everything works fine.
However, when a user uses it in Access 2002 and Word 2002, an extra instance
of the Access application is opened and remains open at the end. Sometimes

Hey All,
I am doing a mail merge with Excel and C#, the problem i am having is
that my excel workbook has 5 worksheets in it. Is there a way to set
which sheet the mail merghe should use. As it stands right now i get a
pop up to select what sheet to use, which defeats the purpose of the
automation.
The Only property i found was as follows,

I am new at this and trying to work my way around this.
I have a table with customer names and a comments and a e-mail address,
Purpose: I need to send a e-mail to all these users updating them with the "comments" in the mail with a subject.
It is exactly like a mail merge in word, but I want to set this up so that it runs automatically without using Word and Excel as I am doing it now.
